Simple Amp Rack

I'm trying to plan a simple amp rack for my 02 Max. I want to put it behind the rear seats so when you fold down the seats, you can see the amp. Does anyone have any suggestions for this? I am going to have to move it back from the opening some to fit the depth of the amp. I don't know how I'm going to frame it in or make it fit in general. Does anyone have any photos to give me an idea where to start?

Thanks!

Re: Simple Amp Rack

I guess you guys are too flashy to have this simple of a setup. Oh well, thanks anyway.

sorry luke, I haven't replied because I haven't done an install in a 02 max..it is all the same though...take a piece of cardboard..and use it as a template...take a cheap 2$ cumpass and stretch it out as far as you need..hold the cardboard up about 2" or so underneath the back deck...stick some masking tape on it or whatever to hold it up there temporarily...now..get out that compass, and run the tip along the deck...drawind an "outline" onto the cardboard..trace it onto mdf and there's your face...now..you could get technical and make them flush or some cool design layered or whatever, but when you drop the seats, the plate won't be seen..as far as recessing it, depends on how the curves are...they make some plywood that is 3/8 and very flexible, you could just screw it through the edges of your faceplate and get the depth you need..have to take into account of that thickness around all 4 sides though..
good luck and I would be glad to help any way possible..AIM is causemecan
