Crossfire amps

I'm looking for a new brand of amp to switch to. I currently have Phoenix Gold XS series amplifiers, but I'm looking for a more efficient setup. I've already tried PPI's power class, and liked the sound, but hated the build quality of the amp. Does anyone have any experience with Crossfire Class D or T amps. they've been know as the loudest amps in the world and have won many awards in terms of SPL, but how is their sound quality? Do they reproduce music as well as Phoenix Gold or PPI? Can anyone recommend better? Serious audio enthusiasts need only respond.

I haven't personally owned them but have installed a few of them...they make decent amps and probably could compare to the xs lineup as far as sound goes..you mentioned 2 very highly regarded amp mfgr's though...what is wrong with the xs amps you have?
not to steer you away from the crossfires, but you could look into arc audio or monitor1 amps..monitors are a little less on the wallet and are awesome amps for the price...they have a few drawbacks like no processing capabilities but personally, you don't want an amplifier to do that anyways...but crossfire makes good amps and they are up and coming really..don't remember which exactly I installed..it was some time ago really..I know they were bmf's 1 was a class d and the other was a 4ch..but it sounded good

Thanks fo the response! Currently, my Phoenix Gold 4 ch. blew its power supply. I've had the amp for about 4 years of pounding. It was time for it to go. I could just send it to Phoenix Gold for repairs, but instead decided to try something different. My PG was putting out 75 watts RMS to all four channels. The sound was impressive, but not very loud. In its place right now, I have a cheap JBL 25x4 running my mids and highs. To my suprise, it plays just as loud as my PG!! The bass was very punchy, but the vocals are very flat. I won't be sticking with this amp at all. After this though, I came to the conclusion that my PG was not a very efficient amp at all. It takes to much power to get power out of the amp. Therefore, I'm starting my quest to get a more efficient amplifier with decent sound quality. The new PPI Power class amps sounded great and was a very efficient choice, but little things like ***** falling off didn't make it in my book.
