Caution/Rant---Do not trust installers
I mean they are not necessarily bad people, but do not just assume they all do things the right way. Case in point, my car. I just installed new aftermarket HU in 2K2 Max. I had already had an amp, sub and speakers installed previously. There was some alternator whine, but not real bad. With the new head unit, and its additional grounding point, it is real bad. I traced the amp wiring from trunk to front. The morons put ALL wiring together! I pulled my sill trim, and found: two sets RCA's, multiconductor cable for front speakers from amp, and....10 guage power wire, all tightly bundled together. After I found this, I traced the power wire from battery to inside car. The dumbaxxes drilled a hole in firewall near brake master cylinder just large enough for wire. You guessed it--no grommet, just bare, sharp metal. Needless to say, I will return and get rectified. These things are so basic, I just assumed they would do these correct.
Sorry about the long monoparagraph

I would get sh*t everytime I took too long on a car because I wanted it right and didnt want to marry the problems that would occur later if I did it half a$$ed.
Needless to say I have never done anything like what you have explained, and I also have not had to report to a boss for several years now.

why dont you tell who it is, so that others will avoid them?
i personally, wont let installers touch my car, cuz i want my stuff done a certain way, and i dont wanna pay for someone else to do it...
as for installers, i have a friend in pennsylvania thats gonna install my alarm, cuz i know he does good work. thats gonna be a 5+ hr drive to get it done, but i wont hesitate cuz i want it done right.
