DVD. . coming to a Max near you

I just picked up my car after having the Kenwood KVT-911DVD installed.

http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/pr...productId=2375

Im so excited! It looks incredible, sounds decent on the BOSE speakers (gonna replace those soon though), and has so many bells and whistle. . .I cant wait to play with them all! Now I just have to register Sirius tonight! I think I might just as well move into my car!!

hey. .the bose comes out next month and a new sound system goes in. Do you guys really think a 5.1 system is worth it? I havent heard one in a car yet. To answer the price question. . .I paid $2800 for everything which included the unit, install, kit, labor, Sirus tuner, sirius antenna. I think it was definately worth it. I drove around last night and watched Gladiator! I'll post some pics when I get a chance this weekend.

please tell me you were parked while watching the movie...i REALLY dont like it when people drive and watch, b/c that could mean the loss of a loved one, cuz somebody was too busy watching a movie to be driving

5.1 Surround

How many movies do you expect to watch in your car? IMO 5.1 is kind of overkill in a car. I have a PS2 in my car myself, and I find myself playing A LOT more games than movies, simply because if I'm using my screen its while I'm waiting for someone or something like that, usually I'm not going to be sitting in mycar for a hour and a half. If you plan on watching a lot of movies then you might want to consider it, but if I were you I'd save the $$. Save up for a nice home system if you don't already have one..... I think that Kenwood makes a DIN sized center channel though, definately look into that if you decide to go 5.1.
