Whether they are in your back doors, or your rear deck...they are
6 1/2s all the way around.

Keep in mind that 6 1/2s will most likely need a baffle to fit because the stock bose are oversized slightly...hence Crutchfield's 6 3/4 measurement.

A trim ring, or a plate maybe, but a baffle? What effect what that have on size?

BTW out of all the Maximas that Ive done (alot), I have never needed anything more than what was already there.

For 5th gen Maximas, the Bose speakers in the rear doors are 5-1/4". I replaced them myself. If you have non-Bose audio, the rear door speakers are 6-1/2". Crutchfield's catalog isn't really accurate. If you go to their website and choose a Maxima as the vehicle, it asks whether you have Bose or non-Bose, and the speaker size is different depending on what you pick.
