factory (bose) stereo problems...
factory (bose) stereo problems...
well, it looks like there have been a ton of problems with the bose system, but I'm not quite ready to replace it yet...
But I was wondering if any of you had come across these two problems, and have been successful in fixing them.
(I have the 97 maxima gle by the way, with the bose system)
1 - the volume dial doesn't really work anymore.
you turn and turn and turn it, and (a)Nothing happens, (b)it gets as friggin loud as it can go and gets stuck there, or (c)it turns the volume all the way down - DOESN'T MATTER WHAT DIRECTION YOU TURN IT!!
I'm guessing I can't really fix this myself...
2 - there seems to be a short from the stereo to the speakers or something. occasionally (when I hit a bump) the sound goes to an absolute minimum. if I hit the panel to the right of my knee (left side of the center dash console) it comes back.
COuld it be a loose wire harness, or maybe bad wires?
ok...so how do I go about removing the dash panels to get back in there?
thanks for any help you can offer!!!
