2k2 bose system question

Can an expert help me out on this one please? I have a 2k2 maxima wiht the bose system in it. There is a subwoofer in the trunk with it's own amp. I was wondering what kind of signal is going into the subwoofer's amp. Is it just all bass or is it just like every other set of speaker wires in the car that's got highs and lows and mids. If it is all bass, then I was thinking of tapping into the wires and hook it up to a RCA line converter and get preouts so that i can hook up an aftermarket amp. Logically an all bass signal would be stronger than a signal with all frequencies if it were to be used to set up some aftermarket subs. Any ideas? thanks for any help.

I hate to be the guy to do it, but look up and to your right, there's a nifty search button, you'll get the answer you seek

That amp powers everything, U unplug the connector and u get nothing from all speakers. Go to linkmeup.com get a pd2 for a sub only, PD4 for highs. Nice setup if u want to keep stock HU

I am talking about the seperate amp that's powering the bose sub only. PD2 costs 60 bucks, that's crazy. I have the high level inputs on my amp, that's almost the same as a PD2 adapter. right?
