There are six speakers altogether. two oversized 6 1/2 inch in the rear deck, two oversized 6 1/2 inch in the front doors, and two tweeters also in the doors. The only difference between some of the 4th gens is that I think the earlier ones had the tweeters mounted in the A-pillar, the later 4th gens moved them to the top of the front door panel.
