1) please tell me you wrapped that crossover in a plastic bag ATLEAST!! one heavy rain and that thing will be junked.
2) how could that sub possibly sound good with the back seat litterally 1/4" or less away from it?
not flaming at all, just curious

I love the firing through the armrest. I just put leather in or I'd consider it. Nice work for sure.

I noticed on your sig you have the infinity perfect. How does it sound? I recently bought one too, but do not have time to put it in yet, school and job. Is the bass ok and are the tweets really harsh?
Lemme know
thanx,

The subs sounded amazing. Very tight punchy and extremely loud bass. The loudness was mostly because of the box design.

Thanx for the reply, I am definitely going to get one. I don't like headache type bass, just nice loud clean tight, etc type and trunk space is a must for me. So this would be perfect. I also prefer 10s than 12s. I think it has the type of bass it creates that I like.

Hey Sweetsound, great setup you got there. I am doing something similar. I was thinking about doing the same 12" in the armrest and also an identical 12" glassed into the spare tire well flush with the trunk floor. Do you think it would sound decent. I have about $800 worth of MB Quart highs to match. Also, I have been looking for a write-up of how to do the fiberglass tire well. I'm relatively new to finerglass so I need a place to start. Any hints? Possible "how-to" or write up?

Hi. I'm not familiar with fiberglassing. I would recommend to just do a single 12" through the armrest. That will give you plenty of bass. I can have a box like that built for about $300.

Kove's are ok
It's my install that actually makes them sound better than they should
They came with the car and my sister did not have a lot of money to spend so I just reused them. The total cost for the entire stereo (two amps, Pioneer head, 12" RF punch, and wiring etc.)came out to $300 installed. Free labor of course from me. It sounds good but the speakers need more power. Right now there's a JBL power series 40 x 4 running the interior speakers and a Soby Xplod running bridged to the sub.
