installing cd player/system NEED HELP!!!!!

I've wired the sony HU up right but no sounds coming out. I think that the amp inside the HU is blown cause i accidently crossed wires when i took it out of a car a year ago and it let off a nice spark. Before then and since i've been using an amp for my mids and highs anyways. But a thing i dont get is the attenna won't come up? i have the ATT wire from my HU (light blue) connected to the light blue wire from the stock wires and the ATT CONT REM (dark blue) or something connected to a green wire from the stock ones. i have switched them and the attenna still wont come up. So at this point what i really need to know is where should i run a cable thru the firewall for my amp so i can have some sound in the morning? is there already a hole anywhere or should i just drill thru? what have you guys done? for the next couple days or so i only want to run a 8 gauge thru but eventually i want to run a 4 gauge and the 8 gauge when i get around to putting my sub in. any ideas?!?! thanks everyone

take it to a professional ... he/she will tell you whats wrong ... or you can hook up your stock stereo and see if that works ... you can draw 2 conclusions from that

You blew a little chip in your head unit. It controls the remote wire (the blue one) you connect your amps, accessories and the power antenna. There is nothing you can do but replace the Headunit. The head unit will come on and everything, but you will get no sound! That one remote chip can screw up the whole headunit when it blows.
