I'm about to redo the system in my 2k2 SE 6spd. It's black with black leather and I have the BOSE (Canadian so no Navi). Now, what I'm up to:

Alpine 7998 (to be installed in the next few weeks)
JL 300/4 (to be installed in the next few weeks)
Focal 33H (to be installed in the next few weeks)
Focal 165A (currently in doors/A-pillar)

What I need to know:

1) What trim plates are available for 2k2? They showed me one with a pocket under the HU and it had 'square' edges to the left and right edges of the piece (which would line up with the outer edge of the rest of the center stack trim) They said they can get me a custom one with a 'chamfered' edge, but didn't have one available to show me. Is there a 'preferred' one?

2) What about colour matching the new trim plate with the factory color of the rest of the center stack? Is there a compatible interior trim paint that matches correctly?

3) I've been searching for ideas on how to do the trunk. Lots of good stuff out there, but it's generally 'overdone' for what I'm thinking about doing. I'd like to keep one side of my pass through fairly useable. I also golf, so leaving 1 set of clubs in the trunk is a must. Also, access to the spare with minimal fuss would be much appreciated. Any suggestions? Here's a little sketch of what I'm leaning towards:
