amp question

I've got the audiobahn aw1208q subs (1500Watts RMS) and need an amp. I don't want to spend too much money so i want to know is it better to get a cheaper amp that matches the sub's power or a good amp w/less power than the sub? thanks

any amp recommendations would be great too.

thanks thumpinmaxima, the jbl 1200.1 amp only does 1200 watts max...does that matter all that much (vs 1500watts RMS for the subs)?

also, will the stock head unit and battery be able to handle this amp?(i'm new to this so just want to make sure)

I would say going for a Rockford Fosgate bd1500. It is 1500rms. It maybe a little pricey, I don't know your specific price range, but I think it would be the best amp for you to get. If possible get one from ebay. It would be around 500-600USD I think. Check it out yourself though.
