Putting in my system

I have a 2000 maxima. I has a cd player with 6 speaker system-non bose. Tweets in the a-pillar, speakers in front and rear doors. I bought a system that was too big with the sub, i would of had to buy another altenator. so im planning on selling the sub and amp that it has. So now i have a ppi amp, components, pioneer deck. Can i use the stock deck and hook up the components and the amp? Or should i use the deck. THe compents are 6.5, 4, and tweets. Could i hook this up myself or not. What would i need as far as cables and stuff.

Andrew,

What exactly was it that you thought you would need a new alternator? Please give specifics so that some of us could help you with that as a starting point.

As far as installing yourself, it takes very little knowledge to do, but some is definately helpful. You mentioned that you have 6.5,4,and tweets is this the components set? Or all the speakers you have for the car? If this is the component set, then some fabrication will be needed.

Wiring is simple as far as needs..speakers wire, power wires,RCAs,line level convertor ( if you use the stock HU), etc...
