can the 4th gen maxs power 2 amps and 2 subs withou taking the chance of electrical problem or fire? do most people change the alt? will i need caps? any dimming of lights?

 

How did the word fire get into this post? The maxima's alt is pretty stout. Maybe not as stout as in a V8 Cadi or a full size SUV. But it has a decent 110-120 amps. As to whether or no that is adequate to power two amps depends on the two amps you choose. If the rest of the system is wired properly and a sufficient low resistance cap is used the alt is good for a 1500-2000 watt system. Many have systems of about 1000 watts with no cap and no light dimming.
