I have Rockford Fosgate subs and the sponge stuff that lines the speakers is coming up, part of the speaker itself is attached to the sponge. I have tried super gluing it back down, but this didn't work. Is there a stronger glue that I can use that will adhere and fix this problem, or do I need to replace the sub? The sub is currently working ok but it rattles a little because of where it is coming up. Thanks for your help.

 

Sounds like you blew your sub...Do you have any kind of warranty on it?

 

No warranty. Are you sure there is no glue that will work? The sub still hits it just seems to need glued back together.

if you're desperate....try clear nail polish, like your mother or girlfriend would use on their nails. I used it on some old subs once way back in my ghetto days.

 

It's called a surround and they can be repaired. Try parts express for a repair kit. Or ask RF how much it costs to have a new surround installed.

 

But is it worth on it that particualr sub? Which model is it?
