PLEASE help me install my new system!!!!!!
Alrighty...I've got a '91 with the Blose system, and I'm planning on ripping it ALL out. I've never done this before, but I think I have a basic knowledge of audio technology, and I don't feel like paying someone else to do it for me. Here's what I'm putting in:
Infinity Kappa 6x9's in the rear
Infinity Kappa 4x6' in front
basic Alpine HU
Rockford F. 65W x 4-channel amp
I've got two questions:
1. I've already purchased the recommended wiring kit for the amp, but what other cables will I need? Speaker wire? Basic Monster RCAs? And will I have to rip out the existing wiring???
2. Can anyone suggest where I can obtain a good step-by-step "how-to" guide for a novice like me? I need all the advice I can get!
Thanks guys!!

Go to this page :click here
It's full of help full info.
You will have to run new speaker wire to the speakers from the 4 channel amp.

Moving on...
I just removed the bose HU and door panels today, and suddenly realized that I have a few other questions:
1. I figure that I'll have to run all new wire from the new Hu to the new speakers, but what type of wire will this be? Just regular 8-gauge speaker wire? - like the kind i'll run from the speaker to the amp?
2. Am I going to have to buy some sort of Bose interface to be able to hook up the HU, or is there a way around this?
Thanks guys...

2. Why would you need a Bose interface? I thought you were ripping out all the Bose stuff??? You'll just need to use a volt-meter to see which wire is constant-12V and which is ignition-12V. the ground wire should short out to the chassis. You can use an ohm-meter to test that, or just bolt a wire to the chassis. The hard one will be the power antenna wire. Do some volt tests with the bose HU hooked up and see which wire controls the power ant. Other than that, you're looking at the amp wires and the speaker wires. Good luck!
