you will probably have to use an RF modulator

Re: Bose w/ mp3 changer

It is not prewired.

If you do get the Bose to talk to the MP3 changer I would be very interested. Please do let me know if it works out or not. I don't want to go the RF-Modulator route. I have the OEM CD Changer in my trunk. I intsalled it myself and hence I know that the car is not pre-wired for the changer. All the best.

from what i understand, that's really hard to do. i actually have an mp3 HU, but i'm planning on getting rid of it because of that (RFX 9000 is the model). a simple way of doing this is to get a portable mp3 player w/ a car kit. i'm going to go that route with a minidisc player. good luck with yours.

I hate car kit, too messy and every time you start the car, you have to take the player out and press play. Doesn't worth it.

i found out today... some come prewired some are not. isn't bose supposed to treat mp3 changer just as a regular cd changer? i'll try to find this out at local tweeter store.

yeah, i can understand that. that's why i looked for a minidisc player with a remote for it. i am thinking to zip-tie the remote to my e-brake or maybe steering wheel if its not too messy.
