mounting an amp

Hi guys/gals. It was cold when i bought my subs/amp and i didn't mount the amp to anything. So right it's just sitting in the dead space between my back seat and the box. What's the best way to mount it to the box ??

SHould i find a safe place to drill and just put in on there w/ some 2" wood screws ? Is there anything else needed to do, such as seal the wholes w/ silicon. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks.

I placed mine on the back of my custom made 12-inch sub box. It's held in place by 4 half-inch screws. Pretty small you might think, but the goal is not to puncture the inner wall of the MDF box, besides, it worked fine, so I'm good.

Hope this helps!

No problem dude. Also, I forgot to mention that I drilled the screw holes as well, adjusting the bit to about quarter of inch so as not to drill through the inner wall, but still give you a good starting point for your screws.

Glad I could help.
