Bose system help....
Sorry because i know this must have been posted in the past but i was wondering if anyone could help me...
I have a '90 Gxe withthe original bose system and whenever i turn it on there is a popping noise.
also the seems to be the problem of here engine noise (a high pitched whining noise) as well when i listen to the radio/tape/cd changer
anyone able to help me get rid of these problems if there is a solution?
its driving me crazy!
Thanks in advance

1) Check the harness connector behind the radio.
2) It could be that one of the speaker amps in going bad. Have a friend turn the system on/off for you while you listen to each speaker. If it's only one speaker, pull the plug on it and try again. If the problem goes away, then it's that speaker.
3) It could be the HU. There's not an easy way to diagnose this, so try eliminating #1 and #2 above. If all else fails, contact http://www.carstereohelp.com/ for help. They deal with Bose repairs all the time.
