Loss of Sirius Signal

Well I finally got everything working again on my Sirius setup. I had the antenna on my rear deck at first and I got pretty bad reception so I moved it to the roof. The problems lessened but I still get frequent dropouts. A friend of mine has his XM antenna on top of his F150 and I have NEVER heard it drop out down these same roads. I thought Sirius's satellites were in better positions and therefore gave a better signal? Is something wrong with my antenna? Help!
