How much do you guys use your subs?
Well right now I have the chance to buy 2 diamond audio m3 subs (12's), a memphis class d 1000 watt amp and a box used for about 3 weeks..and a $100 credit to a local audio shop for wiring etc for $500...I know its a good deal but I am not sure if it is even me worth spending the $....I dont usually listen to too much rap and I don't see myself rolling around all the time with the bass up...so wondering what you guys had to say

I like the extera base. No matter what type of music you listen to its good to have a deep base. I don't have 12's but I think 10's are fine. I have option to turn my base off, when I don't feel like listening to it. so i would say, it is good thing to have in the car. Plus most girls like it.

You don't need to like rap music or need to be "bumpin" to enjoy subs. I listen to rap and hip-hop every now and then, but mostly stuff like Dave Matthews.
In the way my sound system is(was) setup, the subs simply pick up where the mains leave off. If you feed low base(<45Hz) into your coax, triax, or even most component speakers at high volume, they're going to distort(or simply not produce audible sound). Use mid-range and mid-bass speakers the way they're supposed to be used and use subs to do what the mains aren't very capable of.

Get the subs. 2x12" will be an overkill IMO, but if you have a chance with a great price... go for it. As many ppl said.. you will not want to every have a car without subs again.
Subs fill the music. Make the sound complete. Most ppl have it to impress other in the lane next to them... but really subs increase quality of the sound in your car.
Get them and enjoy.
