I got suckered into on of those on ebay. It doesn't work. Basically what happens is that they give you a website to a bunch of wholesalers worlwide (you have to have a business to even attempt this) and then ask them for prices. However, this is closely monitored and anything out of the ordinary will get checked. To make it short and sweet, it didn't work for me.

I like alpine or pioneer. I'm not a big fan of Kenwood, sorry.

I emailed the guy last night, this is what he said

"What happens is that a group of 29 people pay this $89. Once all 29 people pay, the first person to pay get this item and the second person is in line to recieve the item as soon as 39 more people pay. There are different items like plasma tvs and gaming systems to buy as well.
Thanks,"

Basically, until 29 people (if you even get that many people), you have spent 91.50 for nothing. 29x89= most likely the price for the unit normally

These are all scams, obviously. The ones on eBay are always variations of the pyramid scam, the wholesaler scam, and the "pretend to be a review magazine to get free electronics" scam.

Golden rule of eBay: don't pay money for any kind of information. Reason being: it's either a scam, or you can get it for free somewhere else.

Besides, if it's not a scam, why doesn't HE just buy the decks for $89 and sell them for much more on eBay instead of selling HOW to get them for $2.50? He'd make a lot more than $2.50 on each of those head units.

Very good point, he will get the unit for $89, he just has to wait for 29 peopel to do the same thing, until that happens he wont get anything. If there are nto 29 people ever...then he would hae spent $89 for absolutely nothing, so basically he has to wait for 29 others to fall for the scam, and while all this happens, the compant still makes a good profit. But if you do ge tthe unit, I would sell it for a higher price.

its not a scam, but most likely imposible to get... they actaully make a good deal of money, 29 people x 89= $2581. headunit only costs $1200. So for every HU they give out, they make 1300. So if you get in early, you can get it. For example, if you are the 29th person on the list, you need 29x29 people= 841 people before you get your HU.

So what's the definition of scam if losing $89 and getting nothing for it is not a scam? You're getting scammed twice. Once by the guy who sold you the info for $2.50, and then again by the guy that took your $89 and never sends you an HU.
