Headunit powered off amp/sub hmmm?

RF 8-gauge amp kit was used and is run down the drivers' side to an Infinity BassLink(200W RMS internal amp). I believe this is something new, but maybe I just never noticed.

I'm going to investigate this weekend and try a different grounding point. Any other tips/tricks BESIDES moving the power wire to the passenger side?

Your basslink shut off? If it did i would just grab a volt meter to check the Remote turn on/power wire for 12V. The ground shouldn't matter. If the ground worked before, it should be okay.

No, the BassLink is still on, but the headunit is off. I get a hmmmmmmm sound even when the engine is off.

What headunit are you using? Is it the stock one? If so, then the problem is..when the radio is off the Basslink is still powered, but no signal is going to it. Therefore giving you the humming noise.

Yes, stock.

So that's normal then. I guess I never noticed it before.
