Does anyone have a remote starter for their car? If so, what type do you have and what is the range that you have? i.e. can you start it from inside the house or from the mall to the back of the parking lot, etc. Also, does anyone have the remote windows, where you can drop or roll up your windows with your remote?

 

Yes I have the remote start and window automation. All DEI..Viper Responder and 530T (windows) The range is approx 1/2mile in optimal conditions.

I went and got the remote starter put in today (DEI) and it works great with two clicks of my unlock button on my remote. It DOES NOT reach a 1/2 mile!! Nor does it reach a 1/4 mile. I paced it off and got about 175 paces max. I estimate that to be about 525 ft. or less than 1/8 of a mile. I'm still happy with it though.
