bazooka amp

i just bought an audiobahn 10" sub/box, the specs are:

Single 10 PORTED BASS enclosure
High Quality MDF Construction
Spun Aluminum Venturi Port
EPDM Rubber Surround
Single 10 Poly Injected Carbon Cone
45 oz. Strontium Magnet
2 4 Layer ASV Voice Coil
Bumped Back Plate
Extended & Vented Pole Piece
Gold Binding Post Terminals
Power Handling: 350 Watts RMS
Sensitivity: 92.5 dB
Frequency Response: 28Hz - 800Hz
Impedance: 4 Ohm

I am looking for an amp for this sub, and i was wondering what i should get, I dont really want to spend more than $130. I found this one on ebay, but i do not know too much about amps so here is the link

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3028517515

also, i was looking at the Rockford Fosgate Punch 200-Watt Bridgeable MOSFET Amplifier with Selectable Crossover — 200S

The RF amp was $130 any insight one these will be helpful or if you know any other amps i should look at, thanks

Re: bazooka amp

First, those are features not specs. Specs are the QES, QMS, FS, etc. that describe a speakers's electrical and mechanical characteristics. This will also help you in designing an enclosure if you don't go with the factory recomendations.

I almost bought a Bazooka amp like this one until I went to the forum section at Bazooka's web site. The talk was mostly positive with the exception of over-heating and shutting down. If you are going to really be pushing this sub, this may not be the amp to use. Stick with a quality amp like RF that you mentioned or PPI, Orion, Soundstream, Phoenix Gold, etc. A lot of the older models are also available on eBay.

I have that same Bazooka amp running 2 MTX Thunder 6000 12" in a sealed box and it has never overheated or shutdown on me. I've had it for over a year now and I run my system hard it is probably the best amp for the price range. I have nothing specific to keep my amps extra cool I actually have more things working against keeping them cool since my truck is not ventilated and it is always full of stuff.

I forgot to add that RF amps are overrated in their quality in my opinion. If you want to know if an amp is capable of putting out the amount look at fuses on the amp for every 10amp fuse that is 100watts of power.

I bought the same Bazooka amp from the same E-Bay seller. The amp is awsome and dirt cheap. I have it hook up to 2-12's, Polk audio. It thumps!!!!!

I say buy it, you will not be dissapointed.

If you do buy it, make sure you use 4 gauge wiring. The heating problems with the amps are due to people using too little wire, like 8 guage.
