FiberGlass or Wood trunk setup?

I heard people say that fiber glass is really nice but will compromise on the sounds quality. Wood will sound the best but might not look as wild (for show) as fiber glass would. So should i go fiberglass or wood for my new trunk setup?? And also i'm wondering if fiberglass rattles?? please help me out i'm confused since i have never had fiberglass experience.

fiberglass is twice as nice, but twice as much money.. It will look amazing but for some it isnt worth the money. I have a custom would setup in my trunk now, with carpet, that this summer I will change to vinyl that looks amazing....

Fiberglass does not cost anymore, it just takes longer to build cuz you have to wait for it to dry...And as long as everything is braced proper you shoun't lose any real quality to a point...NOw if you pushing over 170 db then yeah um fiberglass aint' gonna work, but your not near that level.

if youre having someone do it for you it will cost you a pretty penny, look at jason's car. it was 6 bills in materials. i dont knoew about you but the last time i built a box it cost me the price of mdf ($16) screws ($1 on the really high end) glue($1, keep in mind we're talking per box)and to make it pretty a plexy and mirrors($50). thats 18 bucks on the low end and 68 on the high end. plus you need alot more glass and resin than you need mdf. plus labor, thats where the kicker is. look to spend over 2k to start dooing glass work professionally

I would do a wood box with some custom fiberglassing for the trim and amp rack. That way you have the best of both.

Fiberglassing isn't all that hard, but it is hard to do it right. Tough to get it all sealed up and braced enough that it doesn't sound bad and won't crack or leak.
