You can do it, you will need to go here http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Nissan-Wiring.pdf
and look for the wiring scrmatic (sorry for the spelling) for your year. You will need to connect the "factory amp turn on wire" to your wire that tells your amps to turn on (usually labled "swiched") and the factory ground wire.

ok i guess i know what you mean. i can understand the subject but you totaly lost me on that babble "Anyone doin it, is t do able want tvs but no do for new interior speaks..."

you can buy urself a nifty little adapter to use the oem bose system with a new head unit. they run about 65 dollars. forget wiring it yourself you will only cause yourself headaches. If you purchase the better version of the adapter you can adjust the gain on output.

i have it done on my car right now. I am runing a clarion head unit with the bose speackers that came on my 97. It is a very easy thing to do. I went and got a part called a interface converter. It makes it wheer bose speakers work with other head unit. very easy. it cost like $50. I am chaging the crap bose out anyways.

I think I have one of those adapters lying around somewhere. I'll sell it to you cheap if you want it. I had it in my car when I had my screen and dvd and stuff, before I replaced the bose speakers. It worked like a charm. Let me know if you're interested in it, and I'll try to dig it out.

regards,
Drew

you don't really need the adapter, i installed my excelon with just wiring harness from best buy, it's all color coded and cost about 15 bucks. i ran it for about a year before i took out my bose and replaced with type r components. as a matter of fact those pillar speakers are still going strong since i never replaced them.

correct you dont need the adapter, it helps though...I put my Head Unit in without the adapter first and the volume control wasnt as accurate. When I put the adapter in it sounded a bit better too IMHO.
