The light that illuminates my display on my BOSE system did not work the other day for almost the whole day(18 hours or so), so I figured the bulb behind it burned out. But the next day I started up my car and there it was working normally again. That was almost 1.5 weeks ago and no problems since. Any ideas or anyone had this happen before? Is this going to be a recurring problem?

mine has been coming on and off for about 2 years now. i haven't been able to figure out the pattern. it does it in warm/cold, engine warm/cold, lights on/off. sometimes it lasts for days, then i'll go for months with it working fine. on mine, it's not a sudden loss of the light but i can watch it fade to black.
i don't care anymore. i know my presets and carry plenty of cds.

Thanks for the link. I think it would be too much hassle for me not to have my stereo for any period of time. So I'll just see how it goes. It did this to me back in december and no problems until last week so I can live with it. Thanks again guys.
