Sub And Amp Ohm Load Question

I just bought a Rockford 500S amp and I wanted to know if I could run 2 of these subs at 2Ohms?

All I can tell you is that filtor1 is right, this will introduce a 2 ohm load to your amplifier. Now, whether or not that amplifier can handle a 2 ohm MONO load, I'm not sure. You should check the specs and see what it's stable to.

unless your amp is rated for 2ohm stable in mono(which it's not), don't do it. You can hook them up two channel. You would just be running at 4ohm per channel.

Specifications
stereo or bridged mono output
Tri-Way capable
125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
250 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms
500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms in bridged mode

how about these? dual 4ohm coils = 2ohms

...just a suggestion
