The gf's new maxima's clock doesnt work, and i'd like to install a remote mount radar detector in it's place. Escort used to have one, but it's around $1400 and is too wide to fit in the spot. Any suggestions?

 

I would buy a normal radar detector and then put the remote display in the slot if you REALLY feel the need to use it. I know Valentine One makes one, which is the detector I would recommend, but I am sure you can get them on other models.
