"cd err" all the time, can't play CD's anymore. HELP

my bose CD player for my 95 GLE randomly stopped working a few days ago and since then whenever i try to play anything it'll spit it back out with a CD err. I used to get CD err's randomly before but they'd only be once or twice and then everything would be fine again, but now it won't play anything ever. is there some way to clean the CD player or make it recognize CD's again?? thanks.

Its no use, it just gets worse.. Better just save your money and throw that POS out and get a new HU.

Yea, I had the same problem.. Cleaning it would not work, so I just got a cd shuttle and pluged that in instead..

I've got a Sony CD player that needs to be reset every time I disconnect the battery. You might have a reset button somewhere. Sometimes they're hard to find because they make them microscopic. If you take it to a car audio dealership they could probably find it.
