Opinions on Audiobahn

I was looking at this Audiobahn A8002T and was wondering if the output is near or way off the factory specifications.
Ive heard good things about Audiobahn so thats why I was looking.
I also have approx $340 to spend on a new amp, any other suggestions would be nice.

To put it simply..you get rediculous amount of power, chrome plating, neon lighting,etc..all for a low,low price...My honest opinion simply dont like em..all about cosmetics and marketing. If I affend anyone..Sorry but as I said My opinion.

You may not get 200RMS but you should get darn close. They do make some good stuff. Its all chromed and tacky as hell. A good way to see how much "real" power it makes is looking at the fuse ratings on the amp. They're not listed on the Sounddomain link there.

Basically if it was rated at 40 amps x 2, 80 total x 14.4V = 1152 watts peak. Less than that concidering it's not 100% efficient. Perhaps 800 watts peak would be achieveable when bridged.

The amps are tacky looking these days, but they do put out near the rated power. it's not like Boss or something like that. I used to run a full Audiobahn system and it was actually pretty nice.

I run a full audiobahn system and am very happy with it. I am only running one 12 and that kicks really hard. I am also running two component systems and three amps. Just check my homepage.

i have been pleased with my audiobahn setup in my max. i have 2 10 aluminum subs and a "1200" watt audiobahn amp. it pounds hard as hell although not as clean and tight as my 2 12 perfects in my audi. overall i have been happy and pleasantly surprised by audiobahn.

I have an audiobahn 275HC amp that I've pushed many subs with over the years. Never had any problems with it. Although it is the higher end of audiobahn's stuff. I wouldn't doubt that I'm getting pretty close to the kind of power that it's rated for, although I'd trade it any day for a good MTX amp.. IMO for the kind of money you gotta pay, I'd rather go with a higher quality amp like Arc Audio or Zapco. All in all, I'm pleased with my amp tho.

I would rather run this amp. It is the midline for PG, but they don't have any crappy amps.

PG has some of the cleanest amps and they usually run stronger than they say.

I have an older PG amp and it is super clean and never any problems
