Feedback from 12's proportional to RPMs.....
Feedback from 12's proportional to RPMs.....
Ok, i got a RF 300x1 amp hooked up to two Orion Cobalts. I also got into an accident and after the accident ripped out my wires from the subs in a fit of rage. I fixed the car and reinstalled the subs. Now there is bass feedback coming from the subs that is only there when the car is on....Whenever i rev my engine it sounds as if i have an exhaust....
If i fumble around with the wires then the sound gos away, but still comes back as soon as i go over one bump. My question is, is it my power/gorund wires, the remote wire, or the RCA wires?

If not your RCA's may be cut somewhere.
If you did they you may have a bad ground, or may have ran the RCA's close to your power wires.

transformer. It is close to the power wires and when i fumble all those wires around the feedback gos away. Ill just go back to them and tell them to fix it, since your probably right about it being the rcas.
Thanks

Sounds like you have a line level adapter, which takes a speaker signal input and converts it to pre-amp RCA's out. Make sure all connections are secure and you definately do not want them close to the power wires.
Always try to run rca on the opposite side of teh power wire....Second if you ripped out the origional wires did you buy new ones to replace them or did you just reuse the ones you ripped out becuase they may have ripped. Also make sure you have a good ground.
Sounds like your RCA ground to me. If it was normal alt whine it would not really effect your subs like that, too high a frequency and not normally that amplitude. I would try another RCA cable and it that doesn't fix it I would check the amp and line level converters, you might have broken off the ground from one of the terminals inside.
