5th Gen Bose in a 3rd Gen Max?

Can anybody direct me to some information on the 5th Gen Bose CD/Tape/Tuner system? I have a 3rd gen, which use to have the Bose system, but it had major problems. In the 3rd gen Bose system, each speaker had it's own amp, and it had line level and power wires ran to each speaker. I replaced it with a real stereo and amps, which required me to re-wire everything. Anyway, parts of the stereo were stolen, so now I want to go back to a "factory" look. Especially since I am considering getting rid of the car within the next year.

What I am trying to find out is, does the 5th gen Bose system have the same screwey amp's in the speakers? Or is it a normal stereo? Also, I assume that it will fit in a double DIN slot, is this correct? Lastly, if everything else will work out, where is a good place to get the wiring harness that plugs into the unit.

Thanks!
