Need help identifying problem with my system...
I've got component speakers and 6 X 9s running off a 4-channel amp and my subs running off a separate amp.
My problem is when I am driving I will lose the sound at random (I lose both the inside speakers and subs). This ONLY happens when I am driving...the sound is fine when I am stopped.
I've tried to notice if it happens when I hit bumps, but it's pretty random.
My first thought was loose wiring somewhere, so I checked everything today...and everything seems ok. I checked the power cable from the battery, the connections behind the head unit, and the cables in my trunk going into the distribution blocks and amps. All the wires look fine, and I even "jiggled" them all with the system on to see if I could duplicate the problem.
I'm completely lost here. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

I had a problem similar to yours not too long ago after getting frustrated cause I could not get it to duplicate the problem while stopped I finally started to have my multimeter tied into different voltage points first being the remote turn on wire so when the problem occurred I could check the voltage. The problem came out to be the RCA cables were going bad changed them haven't had a problem since.

also check that no power cable is crossing/overlapping with a RCA or speaker wires
