UDP with system...???

UDP with system...???

my friend has a civic, and has a an UDP and he is slowly adding a system.. he plans to have a screen dvdplayer and or ps2, along with subs and amps. is this a good idea? i told him he should look into a seperate battery. any ideas?? thanks

Most of the UDP don't change the size of the pulley very much, they benefit more from being made of aluminum as compared to steel. The pulley will probably be no more than 15% smaller, but will be 1/4 the weight. He shouldn't have any problems. I don't have any prolems.

In a civic it could be a problem. It boils down the same way any system does. Need to calculate average current draw and need to know how much the alt puts out at it's reduced RPM speed. They make a lot of pulleys that are the same as factory size. Just have to look around to see what you have. Unorthadox makes a pulley for supercharged max's that keeps the larger crank pulley same diameter as stock. That's what I have.
