Is SONY X-plode any good ????

Hey guys hows it going....Well I saw a new Sony X-Plode Pentagon Speaker in a enclosed competion box at Best Buy....I also saw the mono Sony X-Plode amp that had like 800 watts I'm not sure don't really remember. I liked the way it sounded.....whatcha y'all think about that particular speaker...I have a Sony X-Plode head unit 50Wx4 and 6-1/2 160W speakers all the way around. I like the color alot the red contrast with the biege inside.....is that a quality sub and amp???

800 watts, eh? Stay away from any brand that advertises their amps by max rating instead of RMS.

Sony car audio took a dive long ago. I would stand behind Sony home audio/video as decent equipment, or most any other Sony product, but not car audio.

Of all the brands that I carry, Sony sells the least. Just giving you an idea of the demand for them as well as the quality of their products.

I like Alpine. Not the best money can buy, for sure, but still nice for the price.

Pretty decent, alot better than Sony, overall good product for the entry/midline shopper.

Again it sounds good to me

what do you guys think of coustic? I am running two 12" coustic (carbon fibers) and a coustic amp. I think it sounds great but people think I got ripped off. It was a private audio shop.

you get what you pay for and sony is pretty cheap so take that into consideration. I like Alpine myself.

Its a decent entry level product, but if you like and it fit your budget, thats what counts.
