This is what my friend said on the website.
"I will NOT seal that end by the seats up-it will be WIDE OPEN.
It's ONLY a BANDPASS "INCIDENTALLY"..as in un-intentionally.
I'm well aware that loading the subs in an enclosure within an enclosure makes it appear that my goal is a BP box.
On the contrary, my only real goal besides making it look/sound/perform well and be a musically usable setup, is to REMOVE ALL PRESSURE from the interior of the trunk and force it into the cabin.
THUS-it should be RATTLE FREE, aside from any actuall shaking the WHOLE car might do however it's going to be seeing relatively low power so I doubt it will be flexin much if at all. It SHOULD however sound really nice inside the car.
The "port", which is not really a port in the sense that it's tuned to any freq, was NOT meant to amplify or reinforce any freq's or anything like that-JUST built to fit the already open hole in the rear deck and relieve pressure through the deck into the cabin.
The side that opens up to the back of the rear seats is still OPEN and thus should allow bass to hammer the rear seats and flow into the cabin more freely with the seats down."

He is a big audio head and has built about 6 or 7 systems and have done a great job with all of them that he has worked on so I don't question him much. But I'll have him send me the measurements that your asking for. As for the subs, I will be using 3 JL 10" W3V2.

THAT doesnt give him that much credibility, not saying whether he does know or not, but that statement alone doesnt justify knowledge. I have shops around the entire NE that do 6-7 setups weekly and have been in business for years, some even decades. About 85% of them wouldnt know good sound if it knocked em on their ass.
The end result will depend completely on you and your ears.
