How hard to put 6x9's in the rear deck of a 4th gen

Just wondering. Also, how much better will the bass be from 6x9's (as opposed to 6.5's, same brand, same model)

personally, I would just stick with the 6.5s. If you want to add bass, I would get a small sub.

Or for a lot of bass, get some Tang Band 6x9 subs. they are about 34 dollars each, and have great response. Only drawback is you will have to make enclosures for them.

If I remember correctly you have remove your back seats to remove the deck to get to the 6x9 but I could be wrong. I am doing it again in about 2 weeks as I am picking up my new max tomorrow

you have to remove rear seats to get to the deck no matter what type of speakers you choose. I'd like to do 6x9 also.
