Alpine 9815 install problems
Ok i just bought a alpine 9815 the other day and I installed all the wiring perfectly, but when it comes to mounting it, it seems like it just doesnt fit in the stock bracket well, not to mention the screws connecting the bracket to the stock deck were some of the tightest screws ever, it took me like an hour just to get them all out and in the process I broke 5! screwdriver tips!!!!! But my question is what is the best dash kit for the 2000 maxima gxe with premium sound becasue the one i bought does not fit at all. And also the antenna wire doesnt even plug into the alpine deck(I guess I need an adapter. Thanks for all the help. Thanks for the help..

Alpine 9815......good choice I have the 9813. Yep, you need an adapter for the antenna. I had the same problem with the stock bracket/screws. Since I didn't care about the stock deck, out came the drill. I can't remember the name of the kit I got, but you can see it here I know it's not perfect, but it looks ok.

I used the dash adapter kit from Crutchfield. It's like $20 and fits perfect to me!! Yes Nissan has always required an antenna adapter becuase of diversity tuning. Since they've done that for 15 years now it makes them very easy to find.
I also broke 2 screwdrivers taking the screws out of the Bose unit. I had to drill one out... Messy!!

I also used the Crutchfield kit with mine. I'd lost the screws that came with it, so I had to slightly drill out the screw holes on the kit to make to old screws from my old HU fit. I also added the Ai-Net AUX-in cable so I could hard-wire my iPod:
