I didn't see a 330, but there is a 350. Go here and download the installation guide. In there somewhere, is the the way to program your alarm using the valet switch and your remote.

Does anyone know the make and model of the remote keyless entry system that comes with a Maxima 2000 GXE?
Thanks!

Passive arming is the most annoying thing ever. I have set up about 50 alarms for passive arming, but the customers all come back within 2 weeks with some horror story and how badly they want me to change it back. For one thing you must, and I mean MUST, not set it up to pasively lock. The problem will arise at the gas station or 7-11 where you run in real quick, and then you hear that chirp that says you just F-ed up. Please trust me that passive arming is NO GOOD. You will constantly set your alarm off when you grab the door handle, and open it without having used the remote to disarm the alarm. Besides who wants the theif to open the door and grab the stuff on your seat because you didn't hit the button to lock your car. I could go on and on about how much passive arming sucks, but I hope you get the point from this.

Passive arming is fine if you're not an idiot . I've had it for about 8 months now, and no problems. If you're working on the car for a while, turn the valet on. Sittin in a gas station, just keep the damn door cracked for a second. And if you need to run into wawa or whatever, just turn the alarm on. It's really not a hard concept.

I agree with Willis. Even about the idiot part. In NYC or NJ, we have to have everything locked. It's a fact of life. However, I just came back from Charlottesville, VA and people just leave their front doors unlocked all the time. It depends on where you're living. Outsider, the initial post, is from NY.

I think that was the whole point Topout tried to make: if you leave your car, even for a minute or so, it is much easier to hit your remote and arm the alarm than run somewhere and completely forget your keys and everything in a self-locked car.

I agree with having passive arming. If you forget then to arm and dont have it set then well.....your doors are open and your car is vulnerable. If you do by chance happen to lock your keys in your car, then make a call and get the spare. Alot better than getting robbed. Right Eric? LoL

BTW...I have done the majority of alarms around this area for Orgers and most of them want passive, as well as my regular customers. I havent had any complaints or comebacks yet.
