CD changer for 96 I30--options?

What options do I have for wired CD changers (NOT rf!) that will work with the Bose stereo? The dealer wants $800+ for the changer, plus installation. Bah. Is the Crutchfield unit any good, or are there others?

I'd prefer a unit that will fit under the front seat, unless there an in-dash option.

Sorry if this has been covered--I did check the FAQs.

TIA,
Steve Green

Wow, $800 + would be criminal. These guys have no shame.
I just bought one from www.courtesyparts.com for $142. My Christmas present to myself.
It comes with the cable for connection to a BOSE including (I THINK) yours.
The cable is for a trunk mount so its LONG. For now I have the changer installed and sitting loose under passenger seat (it just clears) with the cable curled up on the rear floor.

Trunk mount is another $40 and its just a bracket. I have to noodle some more to see where my changer ends up. Actually trunk might be a good place for it but some people on the org say when mounted in trunk it skips.

Anyway if interested go to courtesy and search on cd changer. The one I am referring to is Code: B8183-2144U w/ Price:$142.56

Good luck, Bob

Thanks. Are you sure about that model number though? It doesn't come up on any searches, including Clarion's site.

Steve, FYI, the CV737 is the same model Clarion that I bought from Courtesy and referred you to. Don't know where else its available, but good luck finding it whereever you look.
