Can a CD-Changer make your system sound better

Hello,

I am about to purchase a CD-Changer. That changer has better a S/N ratio, dynamic range and lower distortion than my HU. Given this, should I expect better sound quality? Is the output of a CD-Changer that is connected to the HU going directly to the amp bypassing the HU or should the specs of the HU be the one driving the show when a CD-Changer is connected to it?

A changer with better specs than your HU will not make your system sound better because your HU is still the piece that is amplifying the sound.

Either way, I doubt you would be able to telkl the difference.

i would think the CD player/changer with better specs would send a better quality signal to the HU, which in turn would translate to better sound through the system...not that your hearing is sensitive enough to detect the difference.

also, a CD changer is less susceptible to skips than your HU...at least mine are.
