help with crossovers

i just had the bose system replaced. The rear has alpine type r's 6x9's. The installer just spliced from the bose wiring and didnt install the crossovers. He just put wires from the woofer leads and soldered them to the tweeter leads (separate on these speakers). This is soldered to the input. The bass seemed to hit harder with the bose. Could this be the problem or does it not make that big of difference.

Alpine has a 6X9 with a seperate crossover? That is very odd. My guess is that the new speakers are no where close to as efficient as the bose speakers. If your alpines really have a seperate crossover you definitely need it. Your installer would be responsible for replacing the now blown tweets if you bought them from the same store. You should read the FAQ's before you hand over new speakers to an idiot.
