aftermarket amp and sub

Currently have the bose system in my car and was thinking of upgrading an aftermarket sub/amp combo. I used to play around installing these back in the day but with the all in one dash it lookings confusing as hell to wire it up. Anyone have suggestions on this issue?

My stereo guy tapped into the low level output from the rear speakers??
They didn't even touch the dash.
I'm no pro but I think this is what he said.
I added to 10" subs and an amp.
Either way I know is can be done.

You will need a line level to RCA converter. YOu can remove the bottom of the rear deck to get at the rear speaker wires to tap a signal off them. This will provide an RCA input for your amp. Now for power you will still need to tap directly from the battery and run the power cable to the trunk under the carpet or trim. Make sure you install a fuse on this line at the battery! Lastly you will need a remote lead to turn the amp on and off. Usually people use the power antenna lead off their radio but there are alternatives. Possibly using a tap from accesory power in the fuse box that is switched on w/ the ignition. Hope this helps..

I had a 4th gen with bose and did a amp/box unit with a high/low converter (line level to RCA converter. But from my understanding they sell RCA modules that plug indirectly inline on the stock radio harness which in turn gives multiple rca outs. And I was wondering does this RCA module really work and how hard is it to pull out the so called head unit?
