you do not need the factory alarm arm/disarm wires, arms with lock and disarm with unlock. Brake wire can be found either at the brake pedal or in the driver kick (easier) Red/Green. Door trigger wire is negative and is Red/White located in the driver kick.

if you're hooking up the brake wire, you must be installing an alarm/remote start, correct? that's the only reason you'd need the brake wire - to override the remote start once you get in the vehicle. if that's the case, you will need to hook up factory alarm disarm so it doesn't trigger when you remote start. Don's right - it does disarm with unlock, but you don't want your car unlocked while it's running. all you need to do is pulse the unlock wire once, and it will disarm factory alarm. it needs a double pulse to unlock. on your alarm brain there should be a negative factory alarm disarm output. tap that into the unlock wire (green/yellow), and when you activate the remote start sequence, it will pulse the unlock wire before it starts. hope that helps.

Actually the factory alarm will not go off when remote starting. You still do not need to connect any disarm wire.

Are you positive? Me and my guys always install the remote start first without hooking up alarm disarm even if it calls for it. We don't want to hook up unnecessary relays and overcharge our customers. I installed a Clifford RS3.5x in a 99 Maxima SE and the factory alarm did activate when it was remote started. I had to use factory alarm disarm off of the Clifford brain. The red security light on the dash started flashing twice as fast as it normally does, and the horn started honking. It still started and ran, but the alarm was triggered. Perhaps it was a rare occurence
