Basslink

For those who have it, or had it, can someone tell me how does it compare to a regular sub? I'm thinking about doing away with my bass set up and going with a bass link. I'd like to know what to expect in terms of sound. Also, I wouldnt mind hearing it in person, does anyone know what stores carry it?

Thanks

I don't have it but I've read on other posts that it souds pretty good for what it is. It's well worth the money. That's just what I've read.

It's definitely worth what you pay for it. However, do not expect it to pump as hard as your Eclipse.

The Basslink does well with both SQ and SPL set-up's, although geared towards SQ IMHO. It's a 10" sub (+10" radiator) powered by a 200w amp. Sounds better than el cheapo brands that's for sure.

Sound-wise, you're the best judge for that. Find someone who has it installed in a vehicle. Hearing it at your local audio shop won't do it any justice. I'm nitpicky about music quality and all that jazz - the Basslink fits the bill while still giving me useable trunk space and without weighing the car down.

Sounds interesting. I'm ok with losing the power I had in the old set up. I find that I don't listen to music as loud as I used to, and I no longer have the need to keep my noisy neighbors in line by rattling the dishes in their cabinets every time I leave the house. Dunno, perhaps I'm getting old I just want some bass, nothing major, just noticible enough to make the music sound good. I think Circuit City may carry it, if so, I'll pay them a visit next week.

Thanks for the feedback.

it is perfect to fill the lack of bass that stock speakers deliver, bose or what have you. it is also a good addition to aftermarket speakers as well, i would recommend it if you are in the market for SQ
