installing cdt cl61a

has anyone installed these in the stock bose bracket? this will have been the 4th set of speakers i bought and nothing has fit yet. i'm not buying until i'm sure. and yes, i do know about speaker adapters, but i like the depth the facory bracket provives.

in my 2k2 i used a 1" spacer and put them in. its not hard, and its worth it to get those speakers and do that.

in my 97 maxima which had bose i just put them right in and they fit fine. i took off the rubber backing from the speaker so it would give a little more clearance but they should fit fine in the factore bose brackets.
