Which amp is better? Kenwood or Coustic?

Hey guys. I have 2 12" Alpine Type R's. 300 watts RMS 1000 watts Peak. 4 Ohm Subs...............Wired in 2 Ohm Mode.

I have a 600 Watt Kenwood Amp
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18796

And a 800 Watt Coustic Amp
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18797

Now The Kenwood amp will push the subs 150 watts RMS to both subs

The Coustic says it will push them 200 watts RMS to both subs

I have a Ported Duel 12" Box.

Which amp would YOU say is better and What will Push the Speakers better?

Thanks

Nick

id look into a better amp for those type r's. id recommend a 600.1 but it has no subsonic filter. something from phoenix gold or us acoustics should do you well.

Well, you will only be able to use the Coustic for your subs, so you will always be limited with it. However, the Kenwood says nothing about having an electronic crossover. I would assume it has one, but I would check to be sure. The coustic has the bass boost, which may come in handy for you. The Kenwood is rated 300 watts x1 whereas the Coustic is 400* RMS (note it has a litle asteric next to it, which the seller never explained). And neither seller lists the amps' dimensions. Will they even fit wherever you intend to put them?

I would visit the manufacturers' websites to verify the sellers' claims and to get some additional information, then make your choice.

Yeah I have already checked the specs on the websites. I just put the auctions up to show you guys which amps I was talking about. I have them here with me already. But I dont intend to run the Coustic to the speakers at 400 watts RMS, I just intend to wire it normal, to push 200 to each, that way I can stay on the safe side. But thanks for the info guys. Ill have to compare and Contrast
