guys im so torn

ok these are the current options for my new setup

3 JL 10w3vs
2 Alpine Type R 12's
2 solo baric L5 10's
2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12's

AHHHH....ok so heres the criteria: Im looking for sound quality this time around but want to be able to shwo off at the same time, like im tired of my current setup of 1 solo baric l5 12 becuase all it is is deep and lacks punchyness and even though its brain rattling it just dosnt sound good. I am on a budget here so unfortunity it looks like im keeping my Crunch 1000 watt amp thought im open to any suggestions of a dif amp that i can purchase on a budget that will give me great responce.

my friend has 3 10w3's in a sealed box with a kicker 400 watt amp and its ridiculas. still sounds good. but its very loud. my friend has 2 12" type r's in a sealed box hooekd up to a jbl 600.1 and its very tight, but imo does not go deep enough for me and my rap tastes. if you dont liek kicker, why buy 2 of them? id go with 2 jlw3 10's or a alpine 12's. a jbl 600.1 is about $200 shipped and is a great amp. but only use it for sealed boxes. but if you want easy sq get a sealed box anyway.

On ebay 3 JL 10w3v2's will cost you $480 to your door.

With that money You can buy *4* Orion XTR12 subs in this auction ($375 or less)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=18803

and spend the extra money to get an amp.
You will be very happy with the sound quality and you'll be able to crank it up and knock your friends' teeth out, as well as the wow factor of 4 subs. You can run them off your current amp albeit they won't be getting full potential, Since each sub is dual4ohm coils there is a plethora of wiring options available to suit you and your amp.

you could also look to Pheonix gold for very nice lower cost subs, elemental designs, eclipse, image dynamics, resonant engineering, oz audio, there are many many good choices above what you selected that you would be most happy with that produce some seriously amazing SQ.

i would go with the soundstream amps you would have alot of flexibility with the 4 channel amps or just get a sick 2 channel amp. check out millionbuy.com for soundstream amps. also as far as subs sounds like the perfects or type r's would be perfect for you. i dont think the others would do as well for what your looking for. Lastly, that amp has to go

so look into SQ subs........I'd say look into Eclipse Aluminums, Diamond TDX's ,PG titaniums or those JL's you are looking at.......I'm personally going with a Soundstream Rubicon 12" after considering an L7 for a while to mate my Kicker ZR360 ....but talked myself out of the SPL thang....

Hmm.. looking to showoff and the same time have good SQ

Id look into Resonant Engeneering (<spelling)

Havn't heard anything but good about these subs.

Although I don't own any, when I get the money this is what I'll be going w/

here's the site http://www.respl.com and http://www.visionaryaudio.com

Although they do not have prices on their site, You'd have to call them to find out

A good amp to push this sub would be a Hifonics Brutus 1500dx (1500 watts) and the RE 25.1 (also 1500 watts)

Just my .2 cents

Seriously...any of these choices will sound good. It all depends on the installation. If you're that low on money I would try a different configuration with your L5 12, assuming there's nothing wrong with it. If it lacks punchyness then try a smaller box. Or try venting it into the cabin. Or change the crossover frequency. Just some ideas.
